Job Description
Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to lead day to day operations of our iconic 788 bedroom hotel in central London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior operational leadership for the day to day running of a high volume, city centre hotel, ensuring consistently high standards across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Safety & Security.
  • Drive guest satisfaction through visible leadership, effective operational controls, and timely service recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety, legal, regulatory, brand, and company requirements, maintaining strong outcomes in audits and inspections.
  • Oversee operational performance, productivity and cost control, ensuring hotel systems and financial controls are used accurately and consistently.
  • Take responsibility for operational budgets, forecasting and cost management, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Maintenance, Reservations and People & Culture to align operational priorities and deliver business objectives.
  • Lead, support and develop a high performing operational management team, embedding clear expectations, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and development activity across operational departments.
  • Lead and participate in key operational and engagement forums, including management meetings, guest feedback reviews and Town Hall sessions.
  • Support the General Manager with governance activity, capital expenditure planning and strategic initiatives, and deputise in their absence where necessary.
  • Champion operational sustainability, ESG priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Strand Palace and Iconic Hotels & Resorts values.
What We're Looking For
  • Significant senior operational leadership experience within a large hotel environment (200+ bedrooms), with a clear understanding of high volume operations.
  • Experience working in a city centre hotel operation, with insight into the pace, complexity and guest demands of an urban hospitality environment.
  • Proven experience across both Rooms and Food & Beverage operations, gained either through senior Head of Department roles or an operational leadership role with full oversight of both areas.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness, with demonstrable experience managing budgets, controlling costs and improving profitability or revenue performance.
  • Evidence of adaptability and change management, including experience implementing or working with new systems, technology or processes to benefit guests and teams.
  • Experience working across more than one hospitality organisation, demonstrating the ability to adapt to different operational environments, cultures and ways of working, alongside a professional, inclusive and people focused leadership approach.
