This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established retail garden centre environment as a Horticultural Manager, taking responsibility for the plant area and supporting wider store operations. The role offers scope for progression into broader management responsibilities over time.

What you'll be doing

As Horticultural Manager, you will take ownership of the plant area, ensuring high standards of presentation, customer service, and commercial performance. You will play a key role in day to day retail operations, with regular responsibility for covering wider store management duties when required.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and developing the plant area to maintain strong retail standards and an excellent customer experience
• Leading, supporting, and motivating a small team within the department
• Taking responsibility for stock control, ordering, and replenishment
• Providing practical horticultural advice and guidance to customers
• Covering general store management duties on a regular basis
• Working closely with senior management to support operational delivery and improvements
• Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and store procedures
