Job Description
Roles and ResponsibilitiesAttending and participating in training, staff meetings and other meetings relevant to the roleAssisting with administration associated with the events including inputting attendance data, responding to student queries and other associated event administrationContributing to the social media marketing of events and activitiesTaking an active role in planning events. Contributing events ideas during planning and assisting with organisationLeading a minimum of one event per week. This will involve setting up the event, directing volunteer reps, registering event attendance, leading the activity or assisting the activity leader and responding to queries that may ariseEnsuring the event is conducted safely in accordance with health and safety policiesActively promoting upcoming events to event attendeesGathering feedback and assessing during events from attendeesAttending relevant training provided by UPP and its partnersBe a trusted part of the halls community by being a point of contact for students, answering questions and informing staff on issues within the halls of residenceRequirementsCandidates must be current University students who are living or have previously lived in the University halls of residence. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. You must be available to attend a compulsory training session (date to be confirmed with all successful candidates).CommitmentThe role guarantees a minimum of 5 hours per week during term time only (circa. 25 weeks, 2.5 terms) with the potential for further hours when necessary. The Senior Reps will be expected to run a minimum of one event per week along with administration time.
