History Teacher Bradford

About the role

Justteachers are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bradford area. This full time role is to start immediately and will run until the end of the academic year, offering a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a strong Humanities department.

This position is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking to further develop their classroom practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
• Inspire curiosity and critical thinking through high quality teaching
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports progress
• Use varied teaching strategies to develop students' historical knowledge and analytical skills
• Track pupil attainment and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school initiatives

Pre requisites

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in History and confidence teaching KS3-KS4
• Experience working in UK secondary schools (ECTs welcome)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Justteachers
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• Two school based references
