Hire Controller

Hire Controller Sevenoaks, Kent Temp to Perm (£15 - £19 per hour)We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Hire Controller to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end hire process, ensuring equipment and resources are allocated efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.Responsibilities

• Manage incoming hire requests, providing timely and accurate quotations
• Coordinate the scheduling, delivery, and collection of hired equipment
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor equipment availability and utilisation to maximise efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of hire contracts, invoices, and asset tracking
• Resolve any issues or delays quickly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers

Skills

• Previous experience in a hire desk, rental, logistics, or coordination role
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Good IT skills, including experience with booking or scheduling systems
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset
