Job Description
Highly Specialised Clinical/Counselling Psychologist - Development

Closing date: 13 May 2026

We are looking for a highly specialised clinical psychologist to join our Adult Eating Disorders Team. You will work closely with clinical staff to improve opportunities and clinical outcomes for people with eating disorders, addressing longstanding and multifaceted difficulties around food and eating, including comorbidities.

Responsibilities
  • Build integrative formulations and deliver evidence based therapies (individual, group, contextual).
  • Provide formal and informal supervision and consultation for staff within the team and across the Trust, representing all professional groups.
  • Lead weekly consultation sessions and oversee the delivery and supervision of assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of community clinical pathways, policy changes and psychological services for the client group.
  • Deputise for the clinical lead/team manager.
Qualifications
  • Post graduate doctoral level training in clinical counselling psychology.
  • Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Evidence of undertaking training and holding managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Skills in providing consultation to professional and non professional groups.
