Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Desian Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school in Tuebrook. This full-time position will begin as soon as possible and run through the remainder of the academic year

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, delivering small group interventions, and covering lessons where necessary. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to help pupils achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead small group and whole-class learning sessions in Year 3
• Support the class teacher with planning and assessment
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Deliver interventions to support pupils' progress in core subjects
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a similar role
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Ability to commit to the full academic year
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
