Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Provision Croydon Full-Time ASAP Start

We are recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEN provision in Croydon. This full time role starts ASAP and continues until July 2027, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a well resourced environment.
Responsibilities- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons.
- Lead small group intervention sessions to meet individual learning needs.
- Take responsibility for leading the class when required.
- Contribute to lesson planning and classroom preparation alongside the teacher.
- Support pupils with communication and learning using a range of SEN strategies.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to provide the best outcomes for pupils.
- Recognised HLTA qualification.
- Previous experience working within a specialist SEN setting.
- Confidence in leading groups and managing a classroom when needed.
- Willingness to provide personal care.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs.
- Knowledge of Makaton is an advantage, though not essential.
- This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.
- Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
