Job Description

Reportingto the Network Operations Manager your role will focus on networkimplementation and providing technical support and guidance to a wide rangeof stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

Youwill assist on network configuration and implementation, applying yourtechnical knowledge to solve network related issues.

Youwill work as part of our multi-professional workforce, ensuring a smoothtransition to new networking technologies and maintaining reliable LAN/WANcommunications.

Incollaboration with key stakeholders, you will help support and implement themost effective solutions by interpreting standards and procedures.

Youwill be supported to work in implementing designs, enhancing networkperformance and security, and troubleshooting network issues.

Youwill develop effective and valued relationships with clinical andadministrative teams, resolving network communication issues promptly.

Youwill be supported to work within established standards and best practices,contributing to the continuous improvement of network services.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Attained Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) status.
Experience
  • Must be computer literate, and skilled in use of PC applications.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP Protocols.
  • A good understanding of Cisco Internetwork Operating Systems. (IOS)
  • A Good understanding of a modern network environment.
  • Experience of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience gained in a Health environment.
  • Experience of Unix/Linux Operating systems
Additional Requirements
  • Able to cover operational hours and willing to participate in overtime when required.
  • Able to walk long distances between communication equipment locations and be able to lift and carry equipment for long distances.
