Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Huntapac Produce Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of over 60 vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our commitment to quality and reliability in our operations.
Shifts: Monday -Friday
8pm -6 am
Responsibilities
Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Perform MOT preparations and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using job cards and inspection sheets
Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health and safety regulations
Respond to breakdowns and carry out roadside repairs when required
Assist with the maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
Collaborate with other technicians and management to plan workloads and resolve complex issues
Requirements
Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role.
Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
Ability to diagnose mechanical issues accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive repair are preferred.
