About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Trailer Technician to join our growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work within a professional and supportive environment where high standards, teamwork, and career progression are valued.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of HGV trailers to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on HGV trailers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
  • Complete MOT and DVSA preparation work
  • Perform brake, suspension, axle, and lighting repairs
  • Attend breakdowns and roadside repairs when required
  • Accurately complete job cards and maintenance documentation
  • Ensure all work is completed to company and DVSA standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an HGV or Trailer Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of trailer braking, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • HGV Licence beneficial but not essential
  • IRTEC qualification advantageous
