What You Will Be Doing

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnosing faults using the latest diagnostic equipment as an experienced HGV Mechanic
  • Completing job cards and service documentation accurately
  • Working with the parts department to ensure correct components are supplied
  • Maintaining high workshop standards and supporting a positive team culture
  • Keeping up to date with training and industry developments
Pay and Benefits
  • £50,000-£55,000 per year depending on experience

What You Will Need

To be considered as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician you will need:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Technician within a commercial vehicle environment
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI or equivalent)
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Class 1 or Class 2 licence and IRTEC (desirable)
