Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled/semiskilled service van mechanic for a night shift to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have the ability to diagnose and repair various types of trucks and trailers and light vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is advantageous.
