Job Description
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic - Fleet Workshop
Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our in-house workshop in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining a 30 -vehicle mixed fleet of Class 1, Class 2, 7.5t and vans.
This is a workshop-based fleet role, working alongside one other experienced technician, with planned maintenance, realistic job times and proper support.
Pay & Hours:
Negotiable - depending on experience
40 hours per week
Day shift : 8am-5pm (Flexibility required)
Every other Saturday job and knock (paid at overtime rate)

The role:
Servicing, maintenance and repair of Class 1 & Class 2 vehicles
6-weekly inspections
MOT preparation and presentation
Fault diagnosis and rectification using manufacturer diagnostics
Completion of job cards and service paperwork
Liaising with colleagues and suppliers
Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance
HGV licence advantageous but not essential
Full UK driving licence
Reliable, professional approach
