HGV Mechanic

Transway are recruiting an experienced trailer fitters for the build, repair and maintenance of commercial trailers, working to technical drawings and a high standard of quality and safety.

KEY DUTIES

• Fitting, assembly, repair and maintenance of commercial trailers.
• Work on suspension, axles, braking systems, lighting and bodywork.
• Reading and working from technical drawings and diagrams.
• Welding and fabrication as required to complete fitting tasks.
• Inspection and testing of completed work for quality and safety.
• Compliance with all workshop and site H&S procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven trailer fitting / commercial vehicle build experience.
• Mechanical aptitude; welding/fabrication ability an advantage.
• Ability to work from drawings and to specification.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Right-to-work or permit-eligible; Sama manages permit and mobilisation for overseas hires.
