Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment.
Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts utilised.
Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise machinery performance.
Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all maintenance activities.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained to promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
Proficiency in using hand/power tools safely and efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are desirable.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their mechanical expertise within a supportive organisation committed to safety and quality standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
