HGV Mechanic - Full Time

Location: Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim
Hours: 07:00am Start - 40 hours per week (flexible working hours available)
Salary: 36-40k per annum dependant on experience

Belfast Commercial Services / Belfast Mini Coach is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our busy in-house workshop.

This role suits a mechanic looking for long-term stability, varied work across different vehicle types, and an employer that offers flexibility and excellent working conditions.

The Role

• Servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs, coaches and light commercial vehicles
• Carrying out safety inspections, diagnostics and defect rectification
• Working across multiple vehicle makes and models
• Ensuring all work meets DVA / DVSA and company standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an HGV or commercial vehicle mechanic
• Ability to work confidently across light commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High standards of workmanship and safety

Desirable (but not essential)

• Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Multi-brand experience across different manufacturers
• PSV or coach experience
