HGV Driver- Class 1 Closing Date: 9th April 2026, 5 pm

Our Ref: HGV/CE/03/26 Permanent/ Full Time

Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week

(shifts will be discussed at interview)

Base Location: 9-10b Building 4 Central Park, Mallusk

Due to our continual growth, we are looking for HGV Drivers (Category CE) to join our busy Transport division at our depot in Mallusk.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
• Following all regulations relating to driver's hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
• Must hold a valid HGV licence 'CE', Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Minimum of 1 year's HGV (Class CE) driving experience
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points)
• Good Geographical knowledge of NI
• Good Knowledge of driver's hours, rules and regulations
• Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques & undertake manual work
• Flexible approach to working hours including weekday, weekends & Bank holidays will be required
• Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Previous experience working in the waste industry

Any offer of employment will be subject to a successful driving assessment and obtaining any necessary security clearances as deemed applicable for the post. Please note, basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required for this post
