Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Driver Class 1 This is a Shunting job within a factory
Duties
Operate HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Class 1 trucks with precision, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement equipment
Safely load and unload cargo, including specialized flatbed deliveries, ensuring proper securing of goods for transit
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including time sheets
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during transit
Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Class 1 license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed or similar cargo types
Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading and securing loads on flatbeds
Shunting 4 days a week in and around factory with other shunters
Work Location: In person
