Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their deliveries on time.
Responsibilities
Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo, particularly for flatbed deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local, national, and international regulations related to commercial driving.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in commercial driving roles, particularly with flatbed vehicles is preferred.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
