Job Description
Permanent Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy and growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and within scheduled timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with legal and company requirements
Safely load, secure and deliver goods to designated destinations
Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe
Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate driving records
Liaise with the dispatch office regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Follow all relevant health and safety procedures
Assist with loading and unloading when required
Ensure goods are handled and transported safely and securely
Provide a professional and reliable service to customers
Requirements
Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence
Proven experience as a commercial HGV driver
Clean and safe driving record
Good knowledge of UK road laws and commercial driving regulations
Previous delivery experience would be advantageous
Knowledge of SY and LD postcode areas would be an advantage
Reliable, punctual and professional approach
Good communication and organisational skills
