Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver who is willing to train for Class 1 to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and possess a strong commitment to safety and timely deliveries. This role involves transporting goods efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
Communicate effectively with delivery co-ordinator and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry at all times.
Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and during loading/unloading activities.
Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed vehicles.
Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transportation.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
