HGV Class 1 Driver

Due to increasing workload, we are looking for HGV Class 1 (Category CE) drivers to join our team operating from the village of Beelsby in North Lincolnshire.

We need trampers to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. The majority of our work is general haulage on curtain sided trailers.

ADR would be beneficial but not a necessity.

£26.20 tax free night out pay.

We operate a modern fleet of 35 articulated vehicles, consisting of Volvo, DAF and Renault.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently for transportation of goods.
Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.
Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch regarding any issues.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 driving license
Proven experience as a commercial driver
Familiarity with curtain sider transportation
Strong delivery driver experience
Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations
Ability to perform vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Good communication and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.16-£19.67 per hour

Expected hours: 60 - 70 per week
