HGV Class 1 Driver

The Role:

We are currently recruiting 10 HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's busy transport operation in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, delivering palletised goods to supermarkets using curtain-sided vehicles.

This role is ideal for reliable drivers looking for consistent shifts and competitive pay with a well-respected, long-standing haulier. You'll be responsible for ensuring deliveries are made safely and on time, maintaining high standards of professionalism throughout.

Shift Options Include:

• Day Shifts: Start times between 02:00 and 08:00 (until finish)
• Night Shifts: Start times between 16:00 and 22:00 (until finish)

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 6 months
• Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (SP offences only)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• Ability to use curtains and safely complete reversing manoeuvres (assessment required)
• Good level of written and spoken English (for paperwork and communication)
• Willingness to work flexibly across various shift patterns
• Ideally long-trainer trained, but not essential - training can be provided
