Job Description
HGV Class 1 Drivers - Specialist Glass Distribution - St Helens
Monday - Friday Days Ongoing - Immediate Starts (Full Training Offered)
We have a superb opportunity for Class 1 Drivers to work within a close knit team for an established, successful and sizeable haulier in St Helens.
The role will suit drivers who want to work Monday to Friday and enjoy the weekends off!
Successful candidates will enjoy a full training programme before being passed out into the role. This role involved the transportation of glass on stillage's and specialist float-liner trailers. The majority of the work is trunking and the start times are usually between 05:00 and 06:00 am, an average shift being approximately 12 hours. Odd nights out are sometimes required for those willing to undertake them.
You can expect to earn £16.50 per hour, plus a generous holiday accrual.

Qualifications:
Valid HGV Class 1 driving license
Proven experience as a commercial driver
Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance
Previous Class 1 experience is essential
Ability to navigate routes efficiently and manage time effectively
Responsibilities:
Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations, maintaining high standards of customer service.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including logs and delivery receipts.
Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes and schedules. .
