Heritage Archive Volunteer: Cataloging & Community Stories

Are you passionate about history, community, and making a meaningful contribution? George Watson's College is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team of archive volunteers within the Development Office. This is a unique opportunity to help preserve the rich heritage of our school and play a vital role in fostering the strong sense of community that defines our alumni network.
How You'll HelpYou'll be involved in a variety of activities that support our archive work, including:
- Cataloguing
- Supporting our programme of annual reunions by identifying materials and stories of interest to our community
- Undertaking collection handling tasks to ensure items are conserved appropriately
- Carrying out light desk research
- Providing general support to the Development Office team where needed
We would be especially delighted to hear from:
- Former pupils
- Current parents
- Former members of staff
- Friends of the School
More than anything, we're looking for people who enjoy being part of a community and are happy to lend a hand.
