Heavy Excavator Operator

Requirements

• Valid Blue CPCS Card or NPORS (with CSCS hologram) - essential
• Proven experience operating heavy excavators on site
• Strong knowledge of plant safety and site operations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Operator Responsibilities

• Your role as a Plant / Heavy Excavator Operator will be based in Birmingham and will consist of:
• Operating heavy excavators safely and efficiently on site
• Carrying out excavation, grading, trenching, and earthmoving tasks
• Following site drawings, plans, and instructions from supervisors
• Conducting daily pre-start checks and reporting defects
• Ensuring machinery is used in line with health & safety regulations
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Communicating effectively with site teams, banksmen, and supervisors
• Assisting with general plant-related duties where required
• Reporting hazards, near-misses, or incidents promptly
