Location and Hours

Location: Macclesfield (SK10, SK11 or SK12)

Hours: 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri - 40 hours + Regular Overtime & On-Call Payments

About the Role

The Respiratory Technician role will join a multidisciplinary team to provide respiratory care in patient homes. No prior healthcare experience is required; all technicians will receive an 8-week on-the-job training programme. The role is full time and involves following the Respiratory Service schedule, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and supporting patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and reassurance to oxygen therapy users and their families.
  • Install and maintain respiratory equipment in line with the NHS Service Level Agreement.
  • Manage day-to-day workload, delivering a professional service to patients.
  • Operate and maintain safe working practices in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in an on-call rota (approximately 4-5 nights per month).
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from the Healthcare Helpline.
  • Maintain high standards of driving proficiency in company vehicles.
  • Follow good housekeeping practices in regional depots and vehicles.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of equipment into vehicles.
  • Maintain upkeep of your company vehicle.
