Job Description

Right at Home South Dublin & Kildare, one of Ireland's leading home care agencies, is growing our team in Newbridge and Kildare Town.
We're looking for kind, reliable carers who want to make a real difference helping older people live comfortably and independently in their own homes.

Whether you're an experienced carer or just starting out with your QQI Level 5 Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, we'd love to hear from you. We have full time and part time hours available, and both drivers and walkers are welcome.

Please note: We do not provide or sponsor employment visas. Applicants must already be legally entitled to work in Ireland, currently residing in Ireland, and hold a valid visa (if applicable).

What You'll Do

You'll help clients maintain their independence and dignity by:

  • Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, and grooming

  • Helping with light household duties and meal preparation

  • Offering companionship and emotional support

  • Encouraging social and community activities - walks, shopping, appointments

  • Providing mobility assistance where needed

  • Reporting any health concerns to our Clinical Nurse Team

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 2 QQI Level 5 modules - Care Skills and Care of the Older Person (Essential)

  • At least 12 months' experience in care (Desirable)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, compassionate, and proactive approach

  • Patient Moving & Handling certificate (Desirable - we can help you obtain it)

  • Own transport is an advantage but not required
