Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated candidate Healthcare Assistant - HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Dublin .

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in meaningful interactions and activities tailored to individual preferences and abilities
- Support residents in participating in recreational activities and therapeutic programs designed to promote social engagement
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for residents
- Participate in ongoing training and education initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in dementia care and best practices
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with residents and their families
- Ideally 1+ years' experience in elder care; however, candidates looking to start a new career path are welcome.
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (completed or in progress) OR a relevant Nursing/Allied Health Degree (not essential).
- Fully funded QQI Level 5 training available for successful candidates without the qualification.
- Must be able to pass Garda Clearance.
- Must provide suitable character references.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
- Demonstrates good character, empathy, and a caring attitude.
- Must have legal right to work in Ireland.
- Role is open only to candidates with EU/EEA citizenship or existing unrestricted work rights.
- Immediate availability preferred to meet service requirements.
