Ballast Nedam International Projects is targeting to recruit HSE Coordinator to be based in the Nieuwegein Head Office with the following qualifications:
Job Description
We are seeking experienced HSE Coordinators to join our team, supporting in our International Projects.
The role involves:
- Establishing and implementing the company's HSE Management System at the company headquarters and across all projects and work areas under the Head Office.
- Ensuring that company activities comply with local legislation, international HSE standards, and management systems.
- Monitoring and reporting performance to the HSE Director.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in health and safety management.
- Proven experience working with engineering/consultancy and construction companies on large-scale international projects.
- Excellent command of English (knowledge of the country/project language is an asset).
- Familiarity with local HSE laws and regulations in the respective countries/projects (preferred).
- Possession of internationally accredited certificates (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, IASP, or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of international HSE codes and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, European Norms).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Ability to work effectively in an international working environment.
- Strong planning and coordination skills for site operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Director with strategic and operational tasks.
- Plan and conduct internal/external audits of projects to ensure compliance with the HSE plan, procedures, local legislation, and international standards. Organize audit participation and prepare comprehensive audit reports.
- Travel frequently for international projects.
- Participate in Client HSE meetings and represent the company professionally.
- Monitor and evaluate the HSE performance of projects.
- Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.) for management review.
- Implement and maintain necessary measures to ensure the continued alignment of the unit with defined objectives, strategies, policies, and approved standards.
- Perform tasks within the scope of the job responsibilities, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
- Develop operational documents, including procedures and instructions, related to all management systems adopted by the company.
