To lead the Health Safety and Environment function forthe company across all UK and International sites ensuring Health, Safety andEnvironmental compliance and best practice procedures and processes are inplace.

The role holder will advise the SeniorManagement Team and lead the organisation by maintaining a clear HSE framework;promoting and embodying a positive safety culture across all areas and aspectsof the business by providing policy, procedures, training and audits. Key Job Responsibilities

  • A single point of control / referencefor all (managers and employees) providing competent advice for all HSE issues in accordance with statutory requirements, Company policies and procedures
  • Leading the HSE team,performance management and development of individuals Ensuring the successfuldevelopment and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment strategyacross all sites Maintaining a robust, andsustainable health and safety management system which is aligned to industrystandards Directing the business on allHSE, legislative and regulatory compliance matters and chair meetings withoperational teams to ensure all facilities meet exceptional HSE standards
  • Building relationships with theoperational teams to understand compliance challenges and through your team,proactively provide solutions to these challenges
  • Ensuring all HSE policies andprocedures are kept up to date
  • Maintaining a HSE risk registerwhile understanding the importance of insurance and how it impacts on riskmanagement across the organisation
  • Ensuring critical workingpractices such as processes for major events are understood and followed byemployees and contractors
  • Completion of the annualtraining plan for HSE, identifying development and regulatory needs at alllevels in the organisation and contributing to the development and delivery oftraining
  • Managing the HSE budget andoverseeing all relevant data collection, record keeping and reporting atcommittee meetings
  • Ensuring that accidents and incidentsare documented and tracked, with appropriate remedial actions and learningimplemented accordingly
  • Management of external specialistsuppliers or consultants to ensure comprehensive provision of HSE for theorganisation
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant HSEand welfare at work legislation, and communicate relevant changes to thebusiness, as needed
Requirements

Knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of ISO14001/45001 Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to production / manufacturing environment Understanding of production of yachts or other similar large products with long build times, preferable Skills

Competent user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Presentation skills, both preparation of PowerPoint presentations and delivery to a variety of audiences Planning and organizing skills Prioritizing skills Good written communication skills

Experience

Experience of performing an HSEmanagement or partnering role within production / manufacturing industry,preferably marine Leading management teams on HSEcompliance and best practices. Conducting audits and actionplans Planning and delivery oftraining Knowledge of UK RIDDOR andequivalent EU regulation.

Management of third-partysuppliers.

Fire Marshalling Display Screen Equipmentassessments Occupational Health Surveillance,relating to production workforce

Experience of HAVS management isdesirable. Experience of COSHH management isdesirable. Qualifications

NEBOSH general certificate, IOSH or other HSE industry recognised qualification.
