Job Description

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and competent individual to act as Supervisor and support the Health Records Services Team.

The vacant posts will be working Reception/Library and Destruction also covering weekends for Annual Leave and Sickness on a rotational basis.

The department is a busy fast changing service with significant capacity and demand challenges and the ability to work well under pressure is essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with other clinical staff and Trust managers to support all Health Records Services. The successful candidate will have a passion for improving the service our patients receive. The post holder will be responsible for supervising and supporting the health records staff.

It is essential for candidates to demonstrate the values held by the Trust and detail their experience of motivating individuals to believe in corporate values.

The Trust is looking for a talented individual to supervise the teams, adopting a pro active approach towards the team. The successful candidate will have experience of patient administration and delivering an excellent customer service. The successful candidate must be numerate, competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, have experience staff in a large demanding areas. The ability to work in a team, meet deadlines, good communication skills and have an eye for detail are essential.

Education & Qualifications
  • GCSE English Language and Maths Grade C/4 or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Management/Leadership/equivalent or working towards.
Knowledge and Training
  • Knowledge and experience of Patient Administration System Oasis
  • Knowledge of IFIT case note tracking.
  • Knowledge of clinic preparation
  • Knowledge of Subject Access Requests
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.
  • Able to organise and prioritise a diverse workload and workforce on a daily basis.
  • Computer literate; with an excellent use of MS office
  • Knowledge of Reception Duties
Experience
  • Previous experience of working with the general public
  • Experience of managing a customer service function with a proven track record of transforming the culture to improve the service
  • Experience of Supervising a large team across multiple sites.
  • Experience of Supervising staff in a demanding area.

  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships Articulate - communicate courteously
  • Able to communicate with all levels of staff, patients and relatives.
  • Able to relate to a range of professionals, patients, senior managers, board members of the public.
