Job Description

Health & Social Care Lecturer

  • Job Type: Full-time & Part-time
  • Location: West London
  • Salary Range: £32,429 to £46,618 (Dependent on Experience & Qualifications FTE)

We are seeking dedicated full-time and part-time Lecturers in Health and Social Care. The part-time position is for 3 days per week, expected to be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in nursing or a related area, who are passionate about teaching and have up-to-date clinical experience in the Health or Social Care sector.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures in Health and Social Care subjects to a diverse group of students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure an effective learning environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject matter and integrate the latest industry trends into the curriculum.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students as needed.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities and staff meetings to discuss best practices and continuous improvement in teaching methods.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Nursing or a related area.
  • Some teaching or training experience in a relevant field.
  • Up-to-date clinical experience gained within the Health or Social Care sector.
  • Ability to teach Health and Science subjects effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in both teaching and subject-specific knowledge.
