The Health & Safety Performance & Reporting Lead is a senior role within the HSE Team, reporting directly to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment.

This role is crucial in advancing our Safety and Performance initiatives. Partnering with management and operational teams, you will adopt a proactive, coaching approach to inspire compliance and continuous improvement. The role involves embedding a safety culture and building capability to manage health and safety effectively. It is a hybrid position based in our Central Reading office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a reporting framework for all stakeholders, from users to the Board, and generate regular performance reports to monitor and inform safety performance.
  • Analyze data to provide insights, including trend prediction.
  • Create dashboards and reporting packs to support business target setting.
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety Business Partners and operational teams to interpret safety performance data.
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders by performing data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor emerging risks and update risk reports accordingly.
  • Continuously scan the external market for industry changes, emerging risks, and legislative updates to support risk management.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and forums.
  • Maintain health and safety management standards across the MBNL estate, adapting to increasing scale and complexity.
  • Align health and safety standards across MBNL's Shareholders.

Candidate Profile:

  • Good understanding of site health and safety risks, controls, and legal standards.
  • Knowledge of safety indicators to drive performance and inspire change.
  • Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
  • Proven experience in implementing best practices to improve safety standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery within budget.
  • Experience with ISO 45001 certification maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH.
  • Experience in client-side construction or asset infrastructure sectors.
