Health & Safety Manager

Matrix Recruitment is recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager on behalf of our client based in County Kildare. This is a permanent job.

This is a key leadership role, you will take ownership of the site's health & safety strategy, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a strong safety culture across the business.

Your New Role Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Irish Health & Safety legislation, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Develop and continuously improve site safety systems, policies, and procedures.
• Manage safety training, contractor controls, permits to work, and competency records.
• Act as the main contact for HSA inspections, audits, and insurance reviews.
• Drive behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Lead emergency preparedness and manage the Health & Safety Supervisor.

What You Need

• Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, QQI Level 6 or higher).
• 2+ years H&S experience.
• Experience within a high-risk manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to influence, engage, and drive a positive safety culture.
