Job Description

London Museum tells the story of the world's greatest city and its people. We have embarked on an extraordinary journey to create a new museum for London. The museum will sit in atmospheric former market buildings - over 30,000 sqm - at the heart of one of the capital's most historic and creative quarters, Smithfield. The New Museum project is one of the largest cultural projects in Europe and will transform the museum, Smithfield and the City of London, creating a new cultural quarter for London.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment for staff, contractors and visitors.
• Lead the Museum's health, safety and regulatory compliance across a diverse estate including historic buildings, public galleries, event spaces and major capital works.
• Work closely with the leadership team, external health and safety consultants and operational teams.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure systems, processes and policies remain robust, resilient and aligned with best practice.

Qualifications

Previous experience of working in a museum is not required.
