Health and Safety Manager

We're working with a well established and growing groundworks contractor based in Gloucester, delivering major residential and infrastructure schemes across the South West and into South Wales.

With their current Head of Health & Safety due to retire in just under a year, they are now looking to bring in a strong H&S professional to work alongside them and step into the Head of role following a planned handover. The progression route is clear from day one.

What you'll be doing day to day:

• Overseeing health & safety across multiple live groundworks sites
• Carrying out site audits, inspections and incident investigations
• Developing and reviewing RAMS and ensuring full CDM compliance
• Working closely with operational teams and main contractors to drive a positive safety culture

What they're looking for:

• Proven Health & Safety experience within groundworks or civils (essential)
• Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and HSE legislation
• NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
• Confident communicator who can influence site teams and senior stakeholders
