Health & Safety Manager / Compliance Manager - Coleraine - Part time, Permanent
An experienced Health & Safety Manager / Compliance Manager is required to take ownership of compliance across a group of manufacturing and retail businesses based in the Coleraine area. This is a hands-on, site-based role, working closely with management and operational teams to maintain, monitor and continuously improve ISO systems and health and safety standards across the business.
About the role:
- Circa £40,000 per annum (pro rata)
- 2-3 days a week (flexible by agreement)

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Manage and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, acting as internal owner of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Prepare for and lead surveillance and re-certification audits, completing internal audits and managing corrective actions.
- Maintain all ISO-related policies, procedures, registers and compliance records, driving continuous improvement across the business.
- Take responsibility for Health & Safety across manufacturing, retail and warehouse environments, ensuring full compliance with UK and Northern Ireland legislation.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk reviews, and manage accident, incident and near-miss reporting.
- Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), including contractor safety documentation and support for project and operational changes.
- Liaise with insurers, auditors and enforcing bodies as required, providing professional compliance support.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings, support training records, and promote a practical, common-sense safety culture.
What you'll need for this role:
- Proven experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
- Strong Health & Safety background within manufacturing or similar operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Experience working across multiple sites and engaging with different business functions.
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to influence operational teams.
- Willing and able to be physically present on site as required.
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety certification (preferred).
