Job Description

Health & Safety Administrator - Worcester City Council

Hours and Working Arrangements

22.2 hours per week (flexitime). Approximately one day per week in the office, remainder worked from home.

Role Overview

Provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Corporate Health & Safety function, ensuring data and records are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Health & Safety systems and databases
  • Coordinate training programmes and manage related records
  • Support accident and incident administration
  • Produce written material to a high standard
  • Engage positively with employees, managers and external contacts while maintaining confidentiality
  • Prioritise tasks independently and support colleagues across the organisation to meet Health & Safety requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • IT literate with strong Microsoft 365 skills (spreadsheets, Forms, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • Experience in a health & safety or administrative support role is desirable
