Head Teacher - Christ Church CE Primary School The role

The retirement of our Headteacher at Christ Church CE Primary School creates an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established and very successful school with astrong Christian ethos, and one which is underpinned by strong Christian values. We are seeking an inspirational leader whowill be highly visible and child centric; someone who will promote outstanding behaviour and a high degree of respect. Werequire a leader with clear and high expectations who is sincere, empathetic and forward thinking; somebody who willembrace change but ensure continuity of current strengths. This is a permanent role.

The appointment is subject to the current conditions of employment of Headteachers, contained in the School Teachers' Payand Conditions document and other current educational and employment legislation, including that of the Department forEducation.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a practicing Christian, able to provide effective and strong Christian leadership of the school
  • Set high expectations for standards of teaching which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Be able to evaluate and analyse information on school performance and achievement in order to formulate effectiveimprovement actions
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of curriculum processes and be a strong teacher
  • Command respect, setting high expectations of behaviour and leading by example to create a positive and safe learningenvironment
  • Inspire and motivate colleagues at all levels to ensure excellence
  • Have a genuine passion and conviction that each and every child is able to succeed.

The ability to converse at ease with children & staff and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post
