Head of UK Crisis Solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of underwriters in Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom (KRE) to retain and profitably grow the existing book of business.
• Handle underwriting referrals within agreed decision making standards, limitations and underwriting authority.
• Assess desirability of risk through analysis of financial reports and accounts, review proposals, claims history and company information.
• Use designated underwriting systems to streamline processes across the profit centre.
• Ensure consistent and accurate capture of data for the underwriting team.
• Generate new business by expanding the broker network, attending broker events and building relationships.
• Provide excellent service to brokers through a timely, proactive approach.
• Serve as a guide, thought leader and referral point for all Crisis Solutions - Kidnap & Ransom underwriters.
• Connect underwriters with brokers.
• Ensure fair treatment of all brokers and clients and maintain a customer centric approach.
• Conduct self audit and ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven underwriting or broking experience in Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom classes.
• Ability to present and sell Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom to clients.
• Full understanding of AIG UK's Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom product.
• Strong communication skills.
• Time management ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Analytical skills to interpret financial statements.
• Networking and relationship building skills.
