Head of Transport Compliance

UK - National Role Regular Travel

We're recruiting a Head of Transport Compliance to lead compliance across a major UK transport operation, overseeing a signifcant size HGV Fleet. This is a senior, influential role reporting to board level and shaping the compliance culture across the business.

You'll act as the organisation's senior compliance authority, responsible for:

• Protecting the Operator's Licences and ensuring full regulatory compliance
• Leading DVSA/Traffic Commissioner engagement, audits and Public Inquiries
• Overseeing fleet, maintenance and driver compliance across all sites
• Driving strong H&S standards within transport operations
• Coaching Transport Managers and influencing senior leaders
• Running a clear compliance framework, KPIs and audit programme

We're looking for someone with:

• Senior compliance leadership experience in a UK HGV operation
• Multi-site fleet compliance management experience
• Strong understanding of O-Licensing, DVSA expectations and transport legislation
• Experience in DVSA audits and Traffic Commissioner interaction
• Ability to challenge poor practice and build strong compliance culture

• CPC (National & International Road Haulage)
• IOSH Managing Safely (or higher)

• NEBOSH Certificate
• Experience with fleet/compliance systems (e.g. R2C, telematics)
