A Geneva-based investment firm is seeking a highly capable AI Lead to define and execute its AI strategy across discretionary and systematic trading functions in commodities. This role is central to the firm's ambition to embed AI into the research, trading, and operational fabric of the business.

You will work directly with the CIO, Head of Analysis, and Engineering team to deliver practical AI tools that support Alpha generation, trade idea development, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of execution, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a lean and fast-moving environment.

Job Description:

• Define and execute the AI strategy in alignment with the firm's research, data, infrastructure, and investing requirements. Collaborate with the CIO, Head of Analysis, and Software Developers to integrate AI into production workflows.
• Design and implement AI models to support Alpha generation, pre-trade research, risk management, trade execution, and operational efficiency. Ensure AI systems are auditable and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Support the CIO on discretionary trade idea generation, focusing on energy, metals and macro markets. Support discretionary strategies by leveraging AI-native tools for idea generation.
• Develop Real Time analytics tools and formalize ad-hoc workflows into repeatable systems, ranging from dashboard alerts to full-fledged systematic strategies.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven ability to deliver AI/ML solutions in a commercial or investment context - ideally within a hedge fund or trading environment
• Strong technical capability with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach; able to work independently without reliance on a large team
• Current with the latest AI technologies and able to assess, adopt, and integrate them effectively into production workflows
• Capable of building and executing a clear AI roadmap, while remaining hands-on with implementation
• Action-oriented - able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery
