Job Description
Overview

Job Title: Head of Tenancy
Location: Kensington Office, Harding Green

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:45 am to 6:00 pm (with an hour for lunch); Possible to work from home 1-2 days a week; Rotational half-day Fridays

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the tenancy progression function, ensuring compliance with all lettings legislation and AML regulations.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Act as the main point of escalation for tenancy-related queries, compliance concerns, and operational challenges.
  • Arrange and execute tenancy agreements, deposit registrations, inventories, check-ins, check-outs, renewals, and end-of-tenancy processes.
  • Provide expert support and guidance to self-employed agents on tenancy and compliance matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lettings legislation and ensure the business remains compliant at all times.
  • Mentor, develop, and manage tenancy progressors and future hires within the team.
  • Build strong relationships with agents, landlords, and tenants, ensuring clear communication and high service standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align tenancy operations with the wider strategic goals of Harding Green.
Requirements
  • ARLA Level 3 Qualification
  • Significant experience in tenancy progression and lettings operations, ideally at management or leadership level.
  • In-depth knowledge of lettings legislation, compliance, and best practice processes.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative working culture.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and remain composed under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a track record of improving operational processes.
  • A hard-working, driven, and professional attitude.
