This role provides a strategic leadership position to accelerate the delivery of affordable homes, shape the borough's housing delivery framework, and drive generational change in living standards.
Key Responsibilities• Accelerate the delivery of affordable homes across the borough by partnering with the GLA, Homes England, registered providers, and developers.
• Unlock development sites and secure funding to make housing projects commercially viable.
• Evaluate innovative delivery models, ensuring robust programme management, pace of progress, and adherence to quality and compliance standards.
• Provide strategic oversight that aligns with regeneration agendas and full place planning initiatives.
• Proven track record in enabling new home developments and deep understanding of affordability requirements.
• Experience in local government or housing association settings with knowledge of current funding, legislative, and policy contexts.
• Awareness of the political scrutiny surrounding affordable housing initiatives and excellent communication and relationship building skills.
