Head of Sales Online

This is a senior commercial role responsible for developing and executing the online sales strategy for Sysco Ireland, Classic Drinks, Readychef and all Sysco product brands and customer segments.
The successful candidate will take a data led approach to driving online revenue growth, using insights and analytics to identify sales opportunities, optimise sales conversion, and enhance customer engagement across digital channels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial functionality and performance of all company owned e commerce platforms (Sysco Store & Classic Drinks) and third party platforms including Procure Wizard.
Responsibilities Online Sales Strategy & Performance- Develop, lead, and deliver the end to end online sales strategy, aligned to overall commercial objectives
- Drive revenue growth across all eCommerce platforms
- Own and deliver sales targets, budgets, and financial performance for the online channel
- Identify and unlock new sales opportunities through data analysis
- Analyse customer behaviour, purchasing trends, and channel performance to identify untapped sales opportunities
- Translate insights into commercial actions, including pricing, product placement, and targeted campaigns
- Monitor and optimise key KPIs
- Use data to determine when and where targeted campaigns or interventions are required to drive sales uplift
- Lead the performance and optimisation of Sysco Shop, Classic Drinks, and Procure Wizard platforms
- Drive sales through Procure Wizard, increase order frequency, and grow share of wallet
- Improve the end to end online purchasing journey, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and intuitive customer experience
- Ensure effective management of product availability, pricing logic, and online merchandising to support sales growth
- Lead, coach, and develop the e commerce team
- Set clear objectives aligned to sales performance and commercial delivery
- Foster a high-performance, data driven culture focused on accountability and results
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- 5+ years' experience in eCommerce, digital sales, or online trading leadership
- Proven track record of delivering significant online revenue growth and achieving sales targets
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into revenue-generating actions
- Experience managing digital sales platforms, eCommerce channels, and online order flows
- Strong analytical capability with experience using data, reporting tools, and performance metrics to drive decisions
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions
- Experience with Procure Wizard or similar procurement/order platforms desirable but not essential
- Understanding of the foodservice or FMCG environment advantageous
