Head of Sales

Colchester office based

Up to £80,000 + OTE £100,000

We are working with a well-established, family-run business operating within a high-volume, multi-category environment, supplying a large customer base.

They are now seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead, develop, and drive performance across their Sales & Customer Care teams.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for shaping sales strategy, delivering revenue growth, and managing key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop Sales & Customer Care teams to achieve targets
  • Drive sales strategy and revenue growth across multiple product categories
  • Manage and grow key accounts, engaging senior stakeholders
  • Oversee tenders, frameworks, and contractual agreements
  • Implement sales processes, KPIs, and performance tracking
  • Identify new business opportunities and support team development
  • Work cross-functionally to support overall business objectives
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role
  • Background in a fast-paced, high-volume or consumable products environment
  • Strong track record in new business development and account management
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and procurement teams
  • Commercially astute with strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Experience with tenders, frameworks, and contracts
