Job Title: Head of Risk & Business Continuity
Salary: £66,400-£88,900 per annum
Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (2-3 days per week in Cambridge)
Contract: Full time, permanent, 35 hours per week

About the role
This is a unique opportunity to lead and continuously improve risk management and business continuity for our International Education division. You'll collaborate with senior leaders and teams across the world, ensuring our operations remain resilient, compliant, and ready for the future. Your expertise will help us maintain the trust of our stakeholders and empower us to move faster and further with our strategic ambitions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, and managing our risk management and business continuity frameworks, policies, and strategies.
- Leading the management of risk identification, assessment and controls across all our assessment and publishing products and services across the world.
- Fostering a culture of risk awareness and resilience through training, workshops, and leadership.
- Leading and developing a small, expert team based in Cambridge and Manila.
- Supporting major change programmes and advising on risk for new projects and ventures.
About you
You are a strategic thinker with relentless curiosity who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by making a real impact. You bring deep expertise in risk management and business continuity, and you're ready to lead, influence, and collaborate at all levels.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience in risk management within regulated, complex settings
- Proven ability to design and lead risk and business continuity frameworks (such as ISO 31000, ISO 22301, COSO)
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience working with senior leaders and managing teams
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR)
- Relevant professional qualifications in risk management or business continuity are desirable

1st round- Virtual interview with a presentation to prepare
2nd round- Face-to-face interview in Cambridge. You may be asked to complete a psychometric questionnaire ahead of this interview.
