An established national law firm is seeking a senior legal professional to lead its Professional Support function within the Employment, Pensions and Immigration group. Your new role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the direction, development and management of the team's Professional Support Lawyers. Key aspects of the position include:

  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to a multi-disciplinary PSL team.
  • Overseeing the development of legal know-how, client communications and digital content, including articles, briefings and wider campaigns.
  • Designing and delivering training programmes to clients and internal teams.
  • Enhancing the use of technology, managing automated precedents and exploring new systems that improve efficiency.
  • Ensuring the group stays informed about relevant legal developments, market changes and best practice.
  • Supporting induction processes for new joiners, ensuring a high-quality onboarding experience.
  • Working closely with senior lawyers, innovation specialists and wider business services teams to strengthen the national offering.

What you'll need to succeed

This role would suit someone who:

  • Is a qualified solicitor.
  • Has significant experience in employment law and ideally exposure to immigration matters.
  • Has either held a senior PSL role or operated as a senior fee-earner with substantial know-how or training responsibilities.
  • Enjoys working with digital tools and has an interest in automation and modernising legal processes.
  • Writes clearly and confidently, with the ability to create engaging, concise content.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and a commercial mindset.
  • Works collaboratively and is comfortable leading and motivating others.
